Part 2 in Edinburgh

Here is part two of my catch up

When we woke we had a full day ahead of us. First, we woke up and had a coffee at the Elephant Cafe. It is the cafe that the first Harry Potter was written in!

After coffee, we headed to the graveyard where JK Rowling got inspiration for some of the names in the books.

After the graveyard, we did a lot of walking to see some of the sights outside of the royal mile.

Random side street

We will be climbing this on Friday!

Random house

A beautiful view from a hill above the royal mile.

This is a memorial that was supposed to be a huge pantheon but they ran out of money.

Elizabeth having some fun

We finally got a group photo

A really cool gothic spire

After our long walk, we went home for some drinks and Indian food!

We all thought it would be a good idea to do a dark side of Edinburgh walking tour. It was another 2 hour walking tour but this one focused on the weird history.

View from a graveyard where we heard about one of the most famous serial killers in Edinburgh.

Here is a memorial with Abe Lincoln on it. It is for all the Scotish men who died in the American wars.

The next day we did a lot of driving. I am getting a lot more comfortable with driving on the left!  We drive to a few small towns so the ladies could see some of the sights where Outlander was filmed.

After the long day of driving we had to find a new parking spot!  This is not a easy thing to do in Edinburgh. We parked very far away and decided to do a pub crawl on the walk back.

A few pints made the 2 miles a lot more fun.

Ok, I finally caught up!

Thanks for reading.
